Protecting Your Four-Legged Friends
Under German law, dog owners are liable for 100% of all damage caused by your dog
regardless of whether you are to blame or not
. That's why this cover is a must. Dog liability insurance is now compulsory in some parts of Germany. It is not covered by your personal liability insurance - you have to take out an extra policy.
Essential
At least €10,000,000 for personal and property damage, including rented rooms and buildings. Forderungsausfallschutz (an uninsured person's dog damages your health or property but the owner has no means to pay you compensation). Your insurance helps.
Tin openers (cat owners) don't need any liability insurance - cats are included in your private liability insurance.
Optional
We offer a fully comprehensive health insurance for cats, including all costs for medicine, laboratory and diagnosis as well as vaccinations, worm cures and treatment for parasites.
Even abroad, cats are insured for stays of up to 6 months. Horse owners need not only health insurance for their animals but also liability insurance!
Horse owners need not only
